Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a draining valve arrangement for a full automatic single tank type washing machine which can effect reasonable draining of water without suffering from banging up by rags or the like by constituting the valve arrangement such that a float valve is moved from a closing position by rotation of a drainage tank and is moved into the closing position by downward movement of a float thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A float valve chamber 56 having a water inlet port 60 and a water outlet port 54 formed adjacent thereto is provided at a lower part of an inner tank 16A, and a spherical float 62 is disposed within the float valve chamber 56 which is adapted to close or open the water outlet port 54. If washing water 50 is supplied into the inner tank 16a for washing or rinsing, the float 62 close the water outlet port 54 water-tightly due to the pressure of the washing water 50. For draining, the inner tank 16A is rotated for a short time whereupon the spherical float 62 is moved outwardly by an action of a centrifugal force to open the water outlet port 54 while the float 62 is moved upwardly within the float valve chamber 56 by its buoyancy. At the end of the draining, the water outlet port 54 is closed by the float 62 again. Due to such simplification of the structure of the valve arrangement, it can be effectively prevented from being banged up by rags or the like.
