Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a filter material for a high capacity air filter capable of being incinerated by specifying said filter material with a fiber laminate having a specific pore volume and a constitutional fiber thereof defined by the range of a single fiber denier.
CONSTITUTION: Said filter material is a fiber laminate prepared by entangling a fiber randomly in a multi-direction of which an apparent density is 0.3W0.1 and a pore volume shown by a formula (ρ-ρ')/ρ×100 (wherein ρ is a intrinsic density of a fiber) is 75W96% and a constitutional fiber of said laminate consists of 70% or more inflammable fiber of which a staple fiber denier is in a range of 1/500W 1/50 denier and 30% or less same or different fiber of which a denier is 1W15 times that of said inflammable fiber. Further, said filter is the one wherein initial air passing resistance is 30mm H2O or less at the velocity of the air flow of 3cm/min and a dioctyl terephthalate particle having a particle size of 0.3μ can be collected in a ratio of 99.9% or more.
