CONSTITUTION:The ink jet record sheet which contains basic polymer (e.g. formula V polymer etc.) having formulaI(R1: H, methul, R2: H, methyl, acetonyl, L: methylene, phenylene, radical of formula II, m=0,1, X: formula III, formula IV, Y: acid radical) as a structural unit, and forms the record image by injecting the water soluble dye containing aqueous ink. When ink jet recording is done on this record sheet by the squeous ink which contains direct dye or acid dye having anionic dissociation radical, dye combines ionically with basic polymer in the sheet, dye is made insoluble and elution of dye is perfectly prevented. Because basic polymer has strong mordant power, waterproofness of the picture becomes perfect, any change of the picture cannot be found even by the long time water immersion.
