Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize a laser output, by a method wherein a diaphragm-shaped supporter for aligning optical axes, comprising two drawing articles is provided, and the supporter makes inclinations of mirrors easy and has embosses such that a crack is not produced when plastic deformation is applied. CONSTITUTION:Respective two drawing articles, faced to each other like a diaphragm, are connected to both ends of a laser tube 1, and mirrors 7, 7' are supported on their end parts. Embosses 10, 10' are provided on the flat surfaces of the drawing articles of the supporters 8, 8' for aligning an optical axis. The tube comprises cathodes 6, 6', a thin tube 9 and an optical axis suppoter 8 that is also used as an anode. The adjustment of the mirrors is perfomred by applying force to the supporter for aligning optical axes with cutting pliers to subject it to plastic deformation and by adjusting angles between the mirrors and the central axis. Thus, a laser tube without fluctuations of a laser output is obtained.
