Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an even distribution of light volume regardless of the number of arrays, by inserting a light shielding member of a prescribed form into an image forming device in which at least two sheets of multi-lens arrays are provided opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:for instnace, the optical axes of lenses of lens arrays 11-13 are made coincident with each other in an image forming device. In such a device, a light shielding member 10 is distributed above the 2nd lens 12. The member 10 is formed into a light shielding plate 10' that has an aperture 16 by which the orientation patern formed on an image surfacd by each lens becomes a consecutive parallelogram. The aperture 16 is set to a size that can be stored within a region D having a 100% apertuure factor within an effective picture angle region G of each lens. Thus a diagnal line 17 of the parallelogram passes through the center of a lens and coincides with direction X right-angled to the array direction Y, and the opposite sides 18 and 19 becomes parallel to the direction Y. Thus the light volume integrating value is equal between different directions X1 and X2 of the direction X, and the light volume distribution is even in the direction Y. In such way, th light volume distribution becomes even regardless of the number of arrays.
