Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain excellent images on a cathode ray tube screen which is free of light and dark vertical stripes, by constituting flyback transformer which consumes the generated ringing energy through a resistance. CONSTITUTION:The primary core 2 and high-tension coil 4 are arranged on a magnetic core 1, and further thin conductors 6a and 6b are placed between the high- tension and low-tension sides of the coil 4 and the coil 2, so that short circuit in the secondary side is avoided, and both conductors are connected via a resistance 7. In the ringing phase in which the high-tension side of the high-tension coil 4 close to the conductor 6a becomes positive and the low-tension side of the coil 4 close to the conductor 6b is negative in their alternating phases, the ringing current flow through the coil 4, distribution capacity, conductor 6a, resistance 7, conductor 6b, distribution capacity, and coil 4 in this order, and in the opposite ringing phase the ringing current flows in the opposite direction. Accordingly in both cases electric power is consumed in the resistance 7, damping rapidly the ringing energy. This improves quality of the TV images.
