Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent increased iron loss while enhancing the mechanical strength as well as preventing the abnormal growth of crystals about a welded section by welding a number of laminated plates solidly with the irradiation of a laser beam therebetween to make a core. CONSTITUTION:A number of plates 12 blanked in a specified shape are laminated. Then, a laser beam A irradiates therebetween through a lens 15 so as to weld protruded welding sections 13 together melting them. A core 11 is made. The welding section 13 herein used be formed zigzag on the circumference of the core. This prevents the abnormal growth of crystals about the welded sections 13 due to a welding heat to reduce iron loss (hysteresis loss). The arrangement of a greater welding range W and a less welding depth H can reduce the resistance loss maintaining the mechanical strength.
