Abstract
PURPOSE: To assuredly prevent the effect of pulse pressure of a lubricating oil and achieve a perfect sealing by providing a pulsation preventing member at an entrance of an oil chamber which covers a mechanical seal and makes lubricating oil circulate from a bearing part.
CONSTITUTION: When the lubricating oil which is supplied to the vicinity of a seal member 20 by circultion passing an oil path 31a of a thrust metal 31 causes a pulse pressure or pulsation by a sudden change in rotational frequency of a rotary shaft 7 or the like, the pulse pressure can be lightened or decreased by means of a pulsation preventin member 28 at an entrance 27 of an oil chamber 17. Thus, a flange memer 14 of a thrust collar 15 fitted on the rotary shaft 7 by the pulse pressure of the lubricating oil is assuredly and beforehand prevented from separating from a sliding member 21 of a mechanical seal to achieve a perfect sealing.
