Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out carbonization, activation, reproduction, etc. uniformly and efficiently, by setting a gas channel at a mobile bed communicating from the top to the bottom of a furnace and around it, feeding a high-temperature gas, making it flow from the bottom to the top of the furnace successively, and from the front side to the rear side and from the rear side to the front side of the mobile bed, so that a carbon material is reacted with the gas. CONSTITUTION:A gas fed to the combustion chamber 10 at the lower plate of a reaction furnace is burned by the burner 11 to prepare a combustion gas, steam is jetted from the pipe 12 to the combustion chamber 10 and blended with the combustion gas. The blended gas is introduced into the mobile bed 6 by the vent hole 9 formed by the slant walls 7 which are set on the side walls of the mobile bed 6, the gas is reacted with the carbon material and the reaction gas is discharged from the vent hole 9 of the left side wall. The reaction gas prepared by the reaction with the carbon material is fed through the duct 4 to the following space, and partially burned with air from introduction hole 5. The combustion gas is introduced from the left side wall to the mobile bed 6, and reacted with the carbon material. Thus, the reaction product gas is burnt in the space part of the reaction furnace, and reacted with the carbon material in the mobile bed 6 of the upper plate successively.
