Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heat-proof soft gasket which adopts material formed by compounding a rubber latex with a scalelike thin particle stripped from an expansion vermiculite, so that it will not lose strength or elasticity even more than 400°C.
CONSTITUTION: A hydrated composition sheet is formed by using stripped thin particles 1 of expansion vermiculite for principal material and adding a rubber latex thereto. When the sheet is in a moist state, rubber particles 3 existing with water between vermiculite scalelike thin particles 1, 1 is still in the form of a latex.
