Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide wider freedom for the position of installation and improve driving stability, when applied to an autobicycle, by employing a link mechanism so that the input rod of negative pressure type booster is controlled by handling a control wire.
CONSTITUTION: The space within front and rear shells 1, 2 of the negative pressure type booster is divided into a permanently negative pressure chamber 6 and a variable pressure chamber 7 by means of a booster piston 4 which is allowed a free reciprocating motion to the front and rear directions. An input rod 22 connected to the above piston 4 is also connected to a control valve mechanism B. The booster power is provided through a power rod 17 due to the pressure difference between chambers 6 and 7 generated at the time when the input rod 22 moves forward. Here, an input transmission lever 62 is installed to the rear end of the input rod 22, and the lever 62 is rotatably supported 63 by a support arm 60. One end of a control wire 65 is fixed to the top edge 62b of the lever 62 by a metal fixture 66, and the wire 65 is removably supported by a support arm 61 with an adjusting bolt 70a and nut 73.
