Abstract

PURPOSE: To uniformly heat the whole jointed periphery of a pipe by removing the influence caused by uneven temperature, by a method wherein a movable ring plate 2, to which side a plurality of nozzle provided with a gas pipe for heating are radially arranged, is pivotally rotated, in a rotary burner of gas heating and pressure welding apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of nozzle 1 are radially arranged to the side of a movable ring plate 2, to th periphery thereof a gear 6 is provided by fitting work. The movable ring plate 2 is coaxially arranged and jointed to a pipe 12, rotated by a pinion 5 which is driven by a motor, and is also interlocked to a fixed ring plate 3, intervened by a guide roller 7 and a guide groove 8. In addition, a clearance groove 13 is provided between a fixed ring plate 3 and a movable ring plate 2, and a seal ring 11, sealing the clearance groove 13, shuts off oxygen from mixing with fuel gas and from leakage of those gases to the outside.
