Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate accurate setting of the printing position with a light and operation by performing a printing in such a manner that no correction ribbon follows the lifting of print ribbons.

CONSTITUTION: While the excitation of an electromagnetic device 12 is released, an electromagnetic device 6 alone is excited. At this point, an oscillating member 7 is retracted by a changing force of a spring body ignoring a collision with a regulating member 10 until a projection 7b thereof comes off a recess. So, the oscillating member 7 does not turn free from displacement of a lift cam body 4 from the position as indicated by the solid line to the position as incidated by the dotted chain line turning counterclockwise. Therefore, an engaging member 11, a rotary member 13 and a correction ribbon carrier frame 2 do not turn. However, a ribbon cassette carrier frame 3 displaces from the position as indicated by the solid line to the position as indicated by the dotted chain line turning clockwise as an engaging pin 3b rises along an inclined surface 4b1 of a cam body 4b, displacing from the position as indicated by the solid line to the position as indicated by the dotted chain line. Thus, a print ribbon is lifted and set at the given printing position of a type body.
