Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a nozzle with a reduced variability in the length thereof by cutting an electrocast rod in accordance with the length of a desired nozzle and removing the core with therefrom after joining a polished nozzle member and a cup member. CONSTITUTION:A rod containing a wire with the outer diameter coinciding with the hole diameter of a desired nozzle is electrocast being stretched by a constant tension. The electrocast rod thus obtained is polished with a core less grinder or the like and cut axially at the right angle at a desired space to make a nozzle chip, which is polished on both sides thereof simultaneously being arranged in the carry of the grinder. At the finishing of the polishing, the section of the wire 6 is exposed to both the surfaces of the nozzle chip 5, thus producing a nozzle chip with the desired length. Then, a small hole 2 is formed in the center of one end of a cup chip 1 and a tapered hole 1 is formed on the chip 1. The nozzle chip 5 having the wire rod 6 joins the cup chip 1 and the wire 6 is removed by a chemical agent. Thus, a nozzle with the desired length is obtained.
