Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically swing a sparger, to uniformly diffuse air and to enhance purification efficiency, by alternatively spraying air from air-spray holes formed in two pendulum aerators arranged in parallel together, each hole being transversely opposed together.
CONSTITUTION: When a leftside limit switch LS1 is manually actuated at a starting period, an automatic valve 21a turns into an opened state, so that compressed air CA flows through a flow amount-control valve 22a, a rotary joint 23a, a swinging pipe shaft 26 a suspended pipe 27a to a sparger 28a and is sprayed from a sparger hole 29a to the leftside. As a result, the sparger 28a moves in company with another sparger pipe 28b to the rightside along the direction shown by the arrow C. When the sparger 28a raches the rightside end, the sparger pipe 27b comes in contact with another limit switch LS2 and actuates it. In consequence, an automatic valve 21b turns into an opened state, compressed air CA is sprayed form the sparger hole 29b of the sparger 28b, and the sparger 28b moved in company with the sparger 28a towards the leftside along the direction shown by the arrow D. When the sparger 28b reaches the leftside end, the limit switch LS1 is actuated, and the same operation as aforementioned is repeated to diffuse air in the water.
