Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable highly efficient accurate slag coating in company with refractory lining, by coupling material feed lines between a plurality of material tanks and spray pipes in a furnace wall-lining apparatus to pressurized gas-feed system.
CONSTITUTION: A spray pipe 1 is inserted into a converter furnace, while a spray nozzle 2 is opposed to the wall surface of the furnace. Thereafter, a valve 22 is opened (a valve 23 for a reforming tank 11 is in a closed state) to quarry out a refractory from a refractory tank 10, and compressed air is fed from an air source 26 through a pressurized gas-feed line 24 to a refractory-feed line 20. As a result, the refractory is fed through a feed hose 3 to the pipe 1. At this time, pressurized air only is fed through a line 25 to a reforming agent-feed line 21, to increase a compressed air amount for spraying, and to inhibit the reverse flow of the refractory through the line 21.
