Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent effectively the adhesion of powder paint to the inside of transport conduit in a coating apparatus in which mixed colors of powder paints are selectively sprayed onto an object to be coated through single spraying gun.
CONSTITUTION: The transport conduit 4 body of the powder paint feed pipe 2 is made of teflon, polyethylene, etc., which reduce the adhesion of powder paint to the inside of the conduit 2, and the spray gun 6 is connected to the one end of the conduit 2 through the hose 8. The powder paint feed conduits 10A to 10C are fastened at intervals to the transport conduit 4 body with the angled, or approx. 15°, with the opening and closing control valves 18A to 18C. The control valves, designed to be closed by introducing control air from the inlet 20, are connected to the suppliers 32a to 32C for each of powder paints of different colors at the main inlet 31. Also, the control valves are provided with the inlet 74 through which powder paint staying in the conduit 2 is removed by blowing air.
