Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily separate and recover volatile and non-volatile components from an orginal liquid in good yield by a method in which the distillation residue of original liquid by heating is sent to a solid-vapor separation chamber, and volatile component present is separated while solidifying and crushing non-volatile component present.
CONSTITUTION: An original liquid 15 containing volatile component and nonvolatile component is sent to an evaporator 2, where the volatile component present is voparized so that distillation residue containing 20wt% or less volatile component is formed, and then directed to a solid-vapor separating chamber 3, where the distillation residue is cooled and solidified and non-volatile component present in the distillation residue undergoes a shear crushing by a crushing mechanism consisting of plural crushing blades 7 and fixed blades 9 because the solid-vapor separating chamber 3 is kept at low temperatures. During the period, volatile components present are vaporized and the crushing residue to an outlet 11. The vapor of the volatile components separated in the evaporator 2 and the solid-vapor separating chamber 3 is sent to a solid-vapor separating chamber 12 where volatile components are recovered.
