CONSTITUTION:The metal strip 11 heat treated at a high temperature of 600 deg.C or higher in the nonoxidizing atmosphere is introduced into a primary cooling tower 3. In the cooling tower 3, the nonoxidizing gas 4 mixed with powder bodies blows the metal strip 11, which is rapidly cooled to a prescribed temperature. Subsequently, the strip is introduced via the ageing furnace 6 into a secondary cooling chamber 10, in which it is finally cooled by the liquid refrigerant.
