Abstract

PURPOSE: A coating compound having improved matter effect when applied to a metallic plate by baking coating, providing a film having improved hardness and wear resistance, comprising finely divided polymer particles of the specific acrylonitrile type and finely divided aluminum particles in the coating compound.
CONSTITUTION: The desired coating compound comprising (A) 1W50pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. coating compound of finely divided spherical particles of the acrylonitrile type having an average particle diameter in a range 1W200μ and no void in the interior and (B) 1W20pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. coating compound of finely divided aluminum particles having an average diameter in a range 5W100μ. The amount of the residue after heating the coating compound comprising both the components A and B is preferably 40W70wt%. The coating compound is useful for the application of a metallic plate, e.g., (non)metallized plate, etc. by (baking) coating.
