Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a sealed type lead-acid battery of improved vibration-proof by placing a synthetic resin for fixing plates in a space between a bottom wall of a container and the bottom of an assembled element in which fine glass fiber sheets are provided between negative and positive plates in order to fix the bottom of the assembled element. CONSTITUTION:An assembled element is formed by placing negative plates 1 and positive plates 2 alternately to form layers spaced with flat separator 3 comprising fine glass fiber sheet the diameter of which glass fiber is mainly one micron or less. Then, a synthetic resin 5 for fixing plates is formed by mixing fine silicate powder in a mixture of epoxy resin and a hardening agent, the resin 5 for fixing plates is placed on the bottom of a container 4, and then an assembled elemnt is inserted, a space between the bottom of the assembled element and the bottom wall of the container is filled with the synthetic resin for fixing plates, and the resin is hardened to fix the bottom of the assembled element.
