Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute a multi-channel type detector by incorporating a semiconductor radiation sensing element whose positive and negative electrode are contacted with double layered conducting films in a tape shaped flexible signal cable between a plurality of collimator plates. CONSTITUTION:The tape shaped flexible signal cable 31 is formed by holding the double layered conductive films 312 and 313 in an insulating film 311. A part of the end of the insulating film is cut out and the conducting films 312 and 313 are exposed. A sensing element substrate 32 such as silicon is bonded to the cut out part. Then positive and negative electrodes 322 and 323 of the sensing element are evaporated in a vacuum, and their ends are connected to the conducting films 312 and 313. Thus, a sensing element 32 of a unitary body is formed. The sensing element 32 is of a surface barrier type or a P-N junction type. The sensing element 32 is covered by insulating resin 34 such as polyurethane and epoxy, and a sensor unit is obtained. A plurality of units are inserted between a plurality of the collimator plates 35, and enclosed in an aluminum case 36. Thus, the multi-channel detector can be simply obtained.
