Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform filtering and separation of blood efficiently even for a blood doner who does not form a shunt and to enable the blood to be cleaned by transferring the necessary component which is separated in a filter to a pipe part on the down stream side. CONSTITUTION:A specified amount of the blood is gathered to a container 1 wherein anticoagulant for blood is put. Then a clamp 14 is closed, a closed circuit is constituted, and the blood is transferred to the filter 4 from a pump 11. A blood corpuscle component and a blood plasma component are separated by a filtering material 9. The blood corpuscle component is returned to the container 1 from an outlet port 7 via a pipe 10. In this circulation, the required blood plasma component is separated and removed. Thereafter the blood corpuscles are returned to a patient A by a blood transfusion set 16 and the like together with substitution infusion liquid 17. In this constitution, the filtering efficiency can be enhanced by a relatively compact pump whose flow rate is about 200ml/min.
