Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase blow-in efficiency of compressed air and miniaturize a compressed air tank, by blowing compressed air to both intake and exhaust lines at acceleration of an engine simultaneously limiting a blow of the compressed air in a state of intake quantity not less than a prescribed value.
CONSTITUTION: To increase air blow-in efficiency at acceleration of an engine, a compressed air blowing device is provided. This device is consitituted in such a manner that compressed air in a compressed air storage tank 20 is fed to blow nozzles 21, 22 through valves 241, 242 and pipe line 231, 232, and there are opened the blow nozzle 21 to an intake passage 152 and the blow nozzle 22 to a turbine 14 of a supercharger 12 respectively. An intake quantity detecting sensor S3 is provided in the intake passage 152, and its output is input to a computer 19 with outputs of sensors S1, S2, S4WS6 detecting other operating states. Then at the time of accelerating the engine, said valves 241, 242 are opened, simultaneously said valves 241, 242 are closed in a state of intake quantity not less than a prescribed value.
