Abstract

CONSTITUTION: At the compression stroke of a piston 3, a lift flow from a main combustion chamber 4 flows into a sub-combustion chamber 5 to the tangential direction B from a main communication hole 9 to produce a turbulent flow, and fuel is injected to this turbulent flow from a nozzle 6. At this time, the injected fuel is partially scattered by the turbulent flow or centrifugal force and collected to a left side internal wall part 16 in the sub-combustion chamber 5.
