Abstract

PURPOSE: A gear engine of simple structure and of low fuel consumption, in which even numbers of actuating gears of more than four are annularly arranged and intermeshed one another and power can be directly obtained from a rotary motion utilizing a lock-in phenomenon occuring among intermeshed teeth.
CONSTITUTION: In an acuating gear case 7, e.g. six actuating gears 1W6 are annularly arranged and intermeshed one another, and an intermeshing point G1 at three inwardly intermeshing spots and an intermeshing point G0 at three outwardly intermeshing spots are alternately situated. Pinions are installed at shaft ends of gears 1, 3 and 5 and these pinions are intermeshed with a gear wheel above a central spindle 9. A combustion block 14 is arranged in front of the actuating gear case 7, forming spherical precombustion chambers 19W21 at a part which faces each intermeshing point G0 at the rear of the combustion block 14. And combustion gas in these pre- combustion chambers 19W21 is lead to combustion chambers formed among tooth face of the actuating gears 1W6 at the rear of outwardly intermeshing point G0 so that combustion exhaust gas is exhausted to an exhaust passage 12 at the intermeshing point G1.
