Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high detection factor regardless of a high speed, by supplying both the stretch pulse and destretch pulse to a detector of an ion-injected magnetic bubble memory with each 2-bit period of the bubble transfer. CONSTITUTION:Both the stretch pulse current (SPC) and the destretch pulse current (de-SPC) are supplied with each 2-bit period of the bubble transfer to a stretch conductor 7 of a bubble detector in a bubble memory device that is formed by the ion injection method. For instance, a bubble 9 is transferred along the fringe of a transfer pattern 6 by a rotary magnetic field Hr as shown by an arrow mark. Then both the SPC and de-SPC that have a rise and fall at the moment when the direction of the field Hr is set at an angle as shown in the diagram are supplied to the conductor 7. Thus the change of resistance due to a stripe domain is detected for a permalloy thin film 8.
