Abstract

PURPOSE: To lessen the number of welding points and reduce thereby deformation owing to contraction by fitting an outer supporting ring on the nozzle blades, which are molded solidly with the periphery of the inner ring of nozzle diaphragm of a steam turbine, and by welding the outer ring of the diaphragm.
CONSTITUTION: A number of nozzle blades 33 having a projection 32 at their tops are molded solidly with the periphery of the inner ring 31 of diaphragm 31. An outer supporting ring 35 is fitted firmly on each projection 32, and welded to the diaphragm's outer ring 36 by electron beam welding. The number of welding points can be thus lessened, and the deformation owing to contraction after welding reduced, that will well contribute to enhancement of the manufacturing accuracy. Further, works in manufacturing processes can be simplified and fine finish of welds obtained.
