Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize bit errors produced at line switching, by making accurate measurement of delay time difference without interrupting base band signal, in a microwave communication line in the present use having spare lines. CONSTITUTION:A signal voltage Vd for group delay measurement outputted from a transmission section 35 is applied to a hybrid circuit 34 under the condition of equation (1) and it is restored to the original signal at the reception side via present or spare lines. In this case, the signal is subject to phase shift due to the difference of present and spare lines.
