Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize bit errors produced at line switching, by making accurate measurement of delay time difference without interrupting base band signal, in a microwave communication line in the present use having spare lines. CONSTITUTION:A signal voltage Vd for group delay measurement outputted from a transmission section 35 is applied to a hybrid circuit 34 under the condition of equation (1) and it is restored to the original signal at the reception side via present or spare lines. In this case, the signal is subject to phase shift due to the difference of present and spare lines. These signals are alternately switched at a selector switch 15 so that the relation of equations (6) and (7) (where; A is the amplitude of signal, omegad is angular frequency for group delay measuring signal, and t is time) can be satisfied, and the phase difference of the both signals is detected and displayed at the reception section 36 of the microwave link analyzer via a BPF 33.
