Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct automatically the electric potential variation caused by the drift of responding potential difference generating between an ion selection electrode and a reference electrode, within the range of the inputted voltage of an analog-to digital (A-D) conversion circuit by providing a compensating circuit. CONSTITUTION:Electric potential between an ion selection electrode 3 and a reference electrode 4 immersed in the liquid 2 to be tested such as blood, is inputted to an amplification circuit 5. The responding electric potential of the electrode 3 deviates sometimes from the range of the inputted voltage of an A-D conversion circuit 6, owing to the variations of temperature of liquid 2 and the operating condition of electrode. A circuit 9 compensating the drift of this responding potential difference is provided between circuits 5, 6. In the case of deviation from the range of the inpudted voltage, the lock of the compensating curcuit 9 is released temporarily, a part of drift is shifted to the original voltage to correct automatically. Thereafter, the measurment is continued similarly to the usual way.
