Abstract

PURPOSE:To economize energy by preheating the material by use of the heat exhausted when the discharge side of a cylinder is cooled by a method wherein the heat absorbing part on one end of a heating pipe is brought into contact with the outer wall on the discharge side of a cylinder and the radiating part on the other end is provided in a hopper. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic resin material thrown in a hopper 1 is mixed by a screw in the cylinder 2, heated and melted in each heater 3-6, temperatures are controlled by using automatic temperature regulators by the proportional control system provided in each heater through synchronization of cooling fans 7-10 with the heaters 3-6 and the molten material is extruded through a die 11. The heat absorbing part 12b on the end of the heating pipe 12 provided so that the outer wall on the discharge side of the cylinder 2 is covered is heated, the working liquid in the heat pipe 12 is vaporized, the vapor is brought into the radiating part 12a in the keeper 1 to heat, condense, liquefy the material and the liquefied working liquid is returned to the heat absorbing part 12b.
