Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve thermal efficiency and continuously obtain molten metal by providing heating elements and temp. control means to a regenerating body and maintaining said body at above the m.p. of the materials to be melted.
CONSTITUTION: The material 1 to be melted is placed in the passage 10 of a furnace body (a) formed of a regenerating body 3 which is heated by heating elements 6 and has beforehand been maintained at the temp. above the m.p. of the material 1 by a thermocouple 8 and a control device 4. Next, the material 1 is pressed by a pressure body (b) having a regenerating body 2 which has been heated to above the m.p. of the material 1 by a control device 5, heating elements 7 and a thermocouple 9. The material 1 is raised of temp. by transfer heat and radiant heat and when it becomes molten metal 1' by exceeding the melt temp., the molten metal 1' flows along the passage 10 because the passage 10 is provided with slight inclination. This molten metal flows to the outside of the furnace body (a) through the take-out port 10' provided at one end of the passage 10. When the outflow of the molten metal 1' is completed, the next material is sent into the device, thus the melting is accomplished continuously.
