Abstract

PURPOSE:To block an audio signal in field units for any television signal of different standard systems, by setting a sampling frequency and a block frequency to common multiples between 50Hz and 60Hz. CONSTITUTION:Audio PCM signals CH1-CH16 are supplied to a sample alternator 1. Respective data sequences of CH1-CH4, CH5-CH8, CH9-CH12, and CH13-CH16 are supplied from the alternator 1 to an interleave circuit 2 and a vertical parity generating circuit 3. Data sequences to be recorded onto four tracks respectively are supplied from the interleave circuit 2 to horizontal parity generating circuits 5A-5D, and the CRC code is added to them by CRC generating circuits 6A-6D. A formatter 7 records the output onto four tracks. Meanwhile, a vertical synchronizing signal VD is divided by a timing signal generator 9 to have a common multiple between 50Hz and 60Hz and is used as a sampling signal of each channel. Thus, the audio signal is blocked in field units in any system.
