Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a power efficiency under a low distortion characteristic, by providing a means which gives a frequency characteristic to the voltage gain of a controlling amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: A frequency characteristic is given to the voltage gain of a signal amplifier 25 of a PWM converter 10, and in the region of a high input signal, the output pulse width of the PWM converter 10 is controlled to expand for the level of the same input signal to improve the power efficiency throughout the reproducing frequency of the amplifier 25. That is, since a capacitor 34 is connected in parallel to a resistance 27 in the amplifier 25, the voltage gain of the amplifier 25 expands according as the input signal frequency increase in respect to the input signal of a frequency or more where the impedance of the capacitor 34 is equal to the resistance value of the resistance 27 approximately.
