Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately judge the attitudes of parts on feeding with using compressed air, by utilizing variations in intake pressure depending on whether one portion of each of the parts covers a nozzle port or not, for the judgement of attitude.
CONSTITUTION: When a drive source 1 is operated with a large number of parts, for example dowels 14, being filled in a vibrating bowl 1', the dowels 14 are transferred through a track 2 and a groobe 3 to a hole 4a in a rotary detector 4, being postured in limited attitudes. When the entrance of the dowel 14 into the hole 4a of the rotary detector 4 is detected by, for example, an optical detector, a pump 8a is actuated to take air in through a nozzle 10. If the protuberance 14' of the dowel 14 faces to the nozzle 10 in this state, the degree of vacuum becomes higher so as to actuate a vacuum switch 8b which in turn energizes an attitude control circuit 9 for rotating a step motor 7 to 90 degrees in the counterclockwise direction to transfer the dowel 14 to a predetermined section. While if the protuberance 14' is in the portion remote from the nozzle 10, the motor 7 is rotated in the reverse direction.
