Abstract
PURPOSE:To conduct light effectively to radiation detecting elements by using a material having high blocking ability to radiations and small attenuation ability to light in forming collimator plates in a radiation detector disposed with said elements in the clearances between the collimator plates. CONSTITUTION:Collimator plates 1i (i=1,2...) in a multichannel type radiation detectors are formed of a material having large blocking ability to radiations and small attenuation ability to light, for example, lead glass. Semiconductor radiation detecting elements 2i are disposed in the clearances of the plates 1i. According to such constitution, the controlling of the incident angles of scattering radiations is accomplished by the plates 1i for radiations R, and the one dimensional intensity components of the incident radiations are measured. Since the plates 1i function as optical waveguides for rays L, the rays are inputted via the plates 1i to the elements 2i when cast with external light.
