Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify and perform rapidly the measuring operation with a small amount of sample, as well as minify the instrument, by carring out continuously the measurements of hematocrit value and the amount of ions of K and Na and the measurement using varous reagents by using one set of instrument. CONSTITUTION:A small tube 6 that is filled with blood and closed the end of it with a plug 10, is set up in a groove 8 of a centrifuge 2, and the blood is separated centrifugally to hemocytes and plasma. Absorbance at each position of the small tube 6 is measured by a source of light 16 and a photosencor 17. The length q, r of the section Q, R of hemocyte and plasma respectively is detected by the absorbance A and the hematocrit value q/(q+r) is calculated simultaneously. Then a reagent is supplid to each of test tubes 39 in a test vessel section 34 and diluent is supplied to a vessel 20 from a constant amount injector 31. A diluted plasma in a sampler 21 is transmitted to a measuring instrument 4, and there an amount of ions of K and Na is measured. In addition, mixing of reagent and plasma as well as chromophoric reaction is promoted in a measuring instrument of chromophoric reaction 5.
