PURPOSE:To measure a bacillus number continuously, accurately and rapidly independent of pH and temperature, by measuring bacillus number by using an ultrasonic wave generated by a piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION:One of a pair of piezoelectric elements 2 that is coated and insulated with a resin such as epoxy resin 6, is connected to a electric source 1 of alternating current, and the other is connected to a potentiometer 3 to constitute a bacillus number measuring apparatus.
