Abstract

PURPOSE:To discover trouble early, and to protect a normal sample by a method wherein patterning action is monitored by sensing patterning signals activating an integrated circuit substrate on the integrated circuit substrate, and an overcurrent interrupting element is formed onto the integrated circuit substrate. CONSTITUTION:The activating signals sense-backed through the integrated circuit substrate and a predetermined voltage level are compared in a block 9, and sampling is checked whether or not the activating signals agree with an activation pattern at the time of drive. When the signals disagree, the signals are latched by means of a block 10, and forwarded to a control section 1 as the abnormality of a signal system. Even when either of a format control section 4, a pattern driver section 5, a connector section 6 and the integrated circuit substrate section 7 get trouble, thouble is detected in the blocks 9, 10 because right signals are not transmitted. Bias voltage is sense-backed through the overcurrent interrupting element such as a fuse in the integrated circuit substrate, and currents are interrupted when overcurrents flow-in due to fracture, etc.
