PURPOSE:To realize the high-speed transfer of a reproduced element to a desired place, by recording the 1st and 2nd reference signal patterns for tracking control of an optical disk so that they are replaced with each other plural times within a track pattern and securing a specific signal pattern part at the area of replacement. CONSTITUTION:The patterns of tracking control reference signals fp1 and fp2 of an optical disk 10 turning toward an arrow mark X1 are replaced with each other plural times, e.g. four times like 11a-11e within a track pattern of an information signal 2. For the area of replacement, the signals fp1 and fp2 are made to exist simultaneously at only one of both sides of the signal 2 alternately based on the switching lines of lines 3a-1-3d-1 inclined by a prescribed angle theta in the direction opposite to the rotating direction X1 toward the radius of the disk 10 and at four areas 3a-3d excepting the 3rd reference signal (index signal) fp3. As a result, a reproduced element is shifted to the next track pattern. Thus the element can be shifted to a desired reading position with every track pattern and in a speed higher than the conventional speed.
