Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of a color video camera, by automatically adjusting white balance first, through the depression of the 1st stage of a trigger lever of a camera, and second, the depression of the 2nd stage for pickup after the completion of the automatic adjustment. CONSTITUTION:A slidable trigger lever 107 turns first on a trigger switch T1, which is activated with a spring 106 by depressing a trigger button 105. Thus, a shield wall shielding the light from an external light inciding window 101' provided on a lens is moved from an optical path. The light from the window 101' is applied to a pickup tube 104 via a diffusion plate 109, collecting lens 110, reflection mirror 111, and a half mirror 112 for white balancing. A trigger switch T2 turns on through the stroke of the trigger button 105, and after confirming the white balance is adjusted, the recording of a magnetic recording and playback device is started.
