Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the error of a reproducing signal almost uniform, by converting a shading distortion waveform into a digital signal or inversely changing the potential difference between steps required to convert the digial signal into the reproducing signal, in a reading section of a facsimile device. CONSTITUTION:A peak hold circuit is provided with a comparator 4A, address counter 5, demultiplexer 6, operational amplifier 7, AND gate AND, and resistor string R-S. Taking each step resistor of the string R-S as r0, r1...rm and the potential of each step as V0, V1...Vm, the resistance value of the resistors r0...rm between steps of the string R-S which is used for the conversion of the shading distortion waveform into a digital signal or inversely, for the conversion of it into a reproducing signal, is sequentially increased as geometrical series. Thus, the potential difference of each step is changed and the error is uniformed.
