Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a magnetic coupler by a method wherein a Hall element is made to be in floating condition of electric potential making another element as the reference, and Hall outputs of the respective Hall elements are added. CONSTITUTION:Coils 22A, 22B are formed on the upper faces of the Hall elements 20A, 20B making an oxide film as an isolating means. Connecting condition between the coils 2A, 22B is so set as magnetic fluxes phiA, phiB generaed by a signal source 78 to have the opposite directions with each other. Moreover at the respective Hall elements 20A, 20B, one Hall element 20B of the both is put in floating condition of electric potential making the other Hall element 20A as the reference. Namely, outputs generated in the respective Hall elements 20A, 20B are made as to be added, and after the added output is amplified by an amplifier 90 integrated with the respective Hall elements on the same semiconductor substrate 24, it is taken out from an output terminal 92.
