Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the wearing of a driving shaft in the early period for raising its durability by applying a surface treatment, e.g., nitriding, on the driving shaft moving from slantly upward direction to fore and aft direction and serving to orderly supply small parts on a chute to the succeeding assembling position.
CONSTITUTION: In small parts supplier 1, small parts 4 passing through a chute 2 from a sorter provided above and temporarily stopped by a stopper 3 are held on the tip portion of a driving shaft 7 reciprocated by a cylinder 6 and then supplied to the next assembling process. During the period, the driving shaft 7 is magnetized for its tip portion 7a when passing through between permanent magnets 8, and the small parts are thus held by magnetic attaction. In such a device, the surface of the tip portion 7a of the driving shaft 7, made of a magnetic e.g., soft steel material, etc., is hardened by nitriding treatment to form an iron nitride layer. Thus, the durability of the driving shaft 7 can be raised.
