Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a rectification characteristic as desired, by giving a peak value rectification to the output of an amplifier in an automatic iris control loop and switching a time constant or a rectifying circuit with the peak value and in accordance with the value of rate K occupying the bright area to the entire picture. CONSTITUTION:The output of an amplifier 5 in an iris control loop is supplied to a peak value rectifying circuit 20, and the output of peak value rectification is supplied to a comparator 21 to be compared with the set reference level VT. When the output of the comparator 21 is at a low level with a diode D22 turned on, a rectifying circuit consisting of a transistor TR14, resistance 13, 15 and 17 plus a capacitor C18 is turned into a peak value rectifying circuit. On the other hand, the rectifying circuit is changed into a mean value rectifying circuit when the output of the comparator 21 is at a high level with the D22 turned off. Then the comparing reference level VT of the comparator 21 is decided freely according to the value of rate K occupying the bright area to the entire picture.
