Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a desired blade angle to be held by attaching a swingable arm for controlling impeller blade angle, to the shaft portion of an impeller blade which is rotatably carried by an impeller hub coupled to and rotated with a main shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A lid shape carrier 22 mounted to the upper portion of an impeller hub 2, is coupled with a main shaft 5 of a pump. When a pulse motor 23 is operated by instructions from a controller (not shown), a threaded shaft 27 is rotated through a sun gear 24 coupled to the pulse motor 23, planet gears 25 and an internal ring gear 26, resulting in that an elevating nut 28 is slidingly moved upward or downward, depending on the rotational direction of the threaded shaft 27. Thereby, arms 14 are swung through turnbuckles 16 and joints 15 so that the angle of each impeller blade 1 can be varied. With this arrangement which is easily assembled and disassembled, impeller blade angle can be held at a constant value.
