Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a photoreceptor drum with high sensitivity and causing no public pollution and to obtain a smooth surface of uniform film thickness by coating phthalocyanine pigments mixied with an oxadiazol on a cylindrical electroconductive substrate at a liquid state and forming a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Phthalocyanine pigments, oxadiazol derivatives and binders are dispersed into an org. solvent. Then the coating soln. is transferred from a dischrge tank 5 to a coating blade 3. While moving and adjusting the coating blade to rotating drum 2, the coating soln. is supplied on a drum 2, to coat and after drying necessary heat treatments are performed. Whereby a latent image forming drum having high sensitivity and uniform thickness of the coated film and moreover causing non-pollution is obtained.
