Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the recovery rate of sagging nondestructively, accurately and quickly by determining the displacement rate of a face-top position. CONSTITUTION:Prior to explosionproof treatment, a cathode ray tube 1 with its panel 2 directed downward is placed on a measuring device and is supported by Z point supporting means 14. The alignment points 3a at 3 points of the tube 1 are pressed to the measuring contactors 8a of dial gages 8 and the cathode ray tube bulb is located in such a way that the center of the face comes to the position at the leading end of the measuring contactor 11a of a dial gauge for measuring the recovery rate of sagging. The pointers of 3 units of the dial gages 8 for locating and the dial gage 11 for measuring the recovery rate of sagging are all beforehand set at ''0''. Next, prescribed explosionproof treatment is applied, after which again the tube is placed on the means 14, and the value of the dial gage 11 is read. This value is the recovery rate of sagging at the face top of the cathode ray tube bulb after the explosionproof treatment.
