Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism of the device and to achieve economy, by giving a rough aligning function and fine aligning function to an optical system and a multiple core holder, respectively. CONSTITUTION:In the case the photoelectric power of a light emitting element 8 is directly inputted to fibers to be measured, a light source 1 and a coupling lens 9 are combined to form a unitary body and fixed to a mobile stage 7 in the optical system. The fibers F1, F2...Fn are fixed to the multiple core holder 3. The mobile stage 7 has the rough aligning function which sequentially moves the optical fibers by a pitch P, and the multiple holder 3 has a fine aligning function which aligns the optical system and the optical fiber to be measured to the optimum coupling state. Conversely, the mobile stage 7 can have the fine aligning function and the multiple holder 3 can have rough aligning function.
