Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the rotating efficiency of the wind mill by a method wherein two sets of wind mills, which revolve round the rotary shaft of arms while rotating in opposite directions to each other with the rotatinal speed of half times as fast as the revolution speed, are provided between the two arms rotatable about the rotary shaft.

CONSTITUTION: Sails 4 and 5, which revolve about an axis AA', and sails 6 and 7, which revolve about an axis BB', are provided between the arms 2 and 3 rotatable around the rotary shaft 0 of a pole 1 as a rotary center o. The straight line segment AB is arranged eccentric to the rotary center o by the dimesnion e. The angles between the sails 4 and 5 and between the sails 6 and 7 are made 90°. The sails 4 and 5 are revolved and rotated toward the direction a₂ and the sails 6 and 7 toward the direction b₂ at the same revolution speed and at the rotational speed of half times as fast as the revolution speed. When the wind blows from the direction W, the arms 2 and 3 automatically turn normal to the wind direction W, resulting in bringing the sail 4 to the location as illustrated with a dash line 4' by revolving for 90° and rotating for 45°. In the same manner as mentioned about, the sail 4, at this time, the sails 5, 6 and 7 are brought to the locations as 5', 6' and 7', resulting in enabling the wind mill to be applied with the force components to turn the wind mill regardless of the wind direction.
